Lend people money = Expect not returning

Everytime I lend people money, I never expect them to return.. (note: I only lend money to very good friends).. That's why I can even forget that the person still owes me money.. And sometimes I also forget I still owe ppl money =x Like I still owe Bryant 5$, I always forget ! Must remind me ^^

Dad lent a good friend 4000$.. For years already, his friend still owes him 300$.. He says he never expect the 300$ back, but his friend kept his promise.. To return when he has money =)

I used to lend a good buddy 50$.. I never muttered a single word, the money came back within a week.. That's the kind of people you can trust..

I lent another good buddy 40$ a few weeks back, the day he got his pay, he contacted me to return me the money.. I was not free.. The next day I was not free either, he asked whether he can transfer the 40$ to my account.. I told him, 'no rush, after the new year =)' A trusted buddy indeed ^^

From lending people 50$, I've cut down to 10$ maximum or even 5$.. Since I've changed my mindset to 'Expect no return', I rather lend lesser.. If not I'll be broke.. Unless you're a trusted person, I break the 10$ limit and lend you more if you need..

Yups, and if you have no money to return, I don't mind you returning it in credits form or food or drink.. Or cigarettes in the past.. Just as long as you show the sincerity to return, i'm alright with it le =)
